The General Medical Council (GMC) have taken steps to ban the practice of doctors issuing remote prescriptions for Botox with effect from the 23rd July 2012. After the BBC exposed this potentially dangerous practice by way of secret recordings, Niall Dickson, Chief Executive of the GMC said "There are good reasons why these are prescription-only medicines and we believe doctors should assess any patient in person before issuing a prescription of this kind". As such, Beau-Time welcomes these changes.
